(inter)National Flash Fiction Day

May 16th is going to be the first official Flash Fiction Day, and an assortment of brilliant people are running competitions to celebrate it! I’ve been skipping around between them getting in some writing practice, so I shall hopefully be posting more about that soon. You never know, I might even win one!

Either way most of the stories have to be unpublished work so I won’t be posting them here until after the competitions end, aka May 16th in most cases.

Two that are open until the 9th and 10th of May respectively are:

and:

Chris’s isn’t actually a competition, he’s just putting together an awesome pamphlet of short stories from people around the world. I’ll be distributing a few in Manchester, and looks like they’ll also be handed out around Brisbane, and possibly Hong Kong and somewhere in America! Exciting stuff 😀

  1. Hey, thanks for the mention! So far we have confirmed distributors in London, Brisbane, HK, NY, Manchester, Newcastle, Houston – as well as possibly Dubai, Tokyo and LA. So a truly global reach! If you see your city on the list above, that doesn’t mean we wouldn’t appreciate you dropping of a few more…Thanks again!
