Photography :: Speed of Light

Last week I had some microfiction published by Commas & Colons.

I was also lucky enough to have the opportunity of illustrating another writer’s work for the same issue.

Mikkel Snyder wrote a series of ten haiku entitled ‘Speed of Light’, and I provided a photograph/illustration for each one.

I found this collaboration really hard work, mostly because the poems were very abstract. On the other hand, it really forced me to think and try out some weird ideas. Overall I’m delighted that I took part and pushed myself to put so much work into this. I really got a lot out of it and I would love to try illustrating someone else’s work again!

Any takers?
